Can you snap a pic of the air filter side, inside? I'd like to see if it has that "lip". Yep - I'll pull it off tonight to change the jets and snap a shot!

Totally forgot to take the picture last night. I ordered a second one and it will be here tomorrow. Your picture is the first thing I’ll do when I open the box!

What kind of bad luck have you guys had with Amazon? I ordered my front tire, fuel filter, and usually buy sliders through them. The only scooter bad luck I had was ordering front-end kit, the vendor was unresponsive so I just canceled and ordered somewhere else. I have otherwise ordered all sorts of other things from Amazon, including all sorts of car parts - clutch, flywheel, plugs, etc. Amazon can be good, but it requires some know how on which parts to source, which brands to trust and which sellers are legit. Much of the really affordable scooter product on Amazon comes from Chinese companies that perform little to no QC, or verification of the legitimacy of their parts. This is how we (as an industry) end up with 20mm carbs that aren't 20mm, fake Gates, KOSO and OKO product all over the place and generally sub par products that proliferate throughout the ownership base. Sure, a Glixal part seems OK... until you get your hands on the real deal and then you get an idea of what you pay for when you get a legit quality part. Matt

They look very similar but it performed MUCH better than the Glixal. I ordered 3 Glixal's from Amazon ($23.99 each shipped, same day) and have returned all 3. It is possible I just got a bad batch, but the one from scooters_to_go is noticeably better.

I ordered a 20mm from scooters_to_go on eBay and I am blown away by the difference between it and the Glixal. Not only does it run perfectly, it improved my top speed about 6mph! It is branded Keihin but I don’t think Keihin makes a real 20mm based on research and feedback from the forum. It bogged down at about 41mph so I’m guessing I need a little bigger main jet (it came with a 80 pre-installed). Can you snap a pic of the air filter side, inside? I'd like to see if it has that "lip". Got the new one - also branded Keihin and here is the air filter side.

Looks like a true one, if it measures 20mm in the bore. No "step" like some of them have... that should be a keeper.

I happened to be at the Taotao warehouse today (long story) and asked if they had an extra carb I could grab. They brought me one labeled PD19J but it isn’t sealed! I figured they must all arrive straight from China sealed but I guess not.

I figured they must all arrive straight from China sealed but I guess not. I believe they are sealed because of emissions when installed on a scoot that they're importing. A carburetor and other parts can be imported without the same scrutiny.
