I was wondering if anyone knew what screws I would need to buy for the carburetor float bowl on the carburetor because I stripped the heads on mine getting them off the first time since they apparently had to torque them down as much as they could

I used M4x0.7x14 screws in mine.

A previous post talked about metal corrosion and stated that cadmium plated (sort of a gold color) resisted best. I'll add otherwise put a bit of anti seize on each thread.

I couldn't find M4x0.7x14 at Home Depot, but they DID have M4x0.7x16 which fit just fine along with matching M4 lock washers.

When I could not get the screws to let loose, I used a small Vise-Grip clamped onto the side of the screw head. Vise-grip makes a very small size that is muy handy to have. I think I use it more than the larger sizes, FWIW. If you don't ride in a salty area, and don't go way overboard tightening the fasteners, you should not have much problem removing them in the future even without anti-seize. I would recommend using split lock washers as fitted originally on some. tom
