Hi guys I’m going crazy with my gy6 150cc scooter. I have no spark and spent days going crazy. I tested everything and it’s all good but today I tested the power going into the CDI pin 6 with my meter in AC I’m only getting 0.767. I’m hoping this is the issue but what should I do ? Do I need a new stator ? Thank you I’m ready to light this on fire lol

You know it's no spark? Did you swap the plug?

Put a new spark plug in there. It's like $10

Try checking the stator directly. More detail : www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9-mr7BXIhoIf you get that at the stator, replace it. If your stator passes, figure out what's up with the wiring/connections.

Thank you. I did this and it’s good. But why would I not be getting power to the CDI ? Where is that wire getting the powe from ?

Well #6, assuming you're using the commonly found pinout posted below, is power from the exciter coil. So if you're getting good output at the stator, say 50VAC, and then under 10VAC by the time it reaches the CDI I'd think there has to be a bad wire or connection somewhere. May want to get the ohm meter out and see what you get from that pin to the connector at the stator.

How many volts should I have at the CDI. People where saying 12.0v but if I’m only putting out 0.767 at the stator then how will that increase 🤔. I’m just confuse what I should have at the CDI and. If everything is good what is going on. Thank you

So on the red wire I’m only getting 40.00v to 45.0v I know he said you need 50v is that my issue or will 40V be acceptable ? How many Volts should I have at the CDI ?

Should be essentially the same voltage as you get out of the exciter coil. It's not a regulated voltage. If it's a DC CDI, then you should get around 12V or whatever battery voltage is, but yours is AC.
40-45V may be OK. I would first figure out why it's not making it to the CDI.

Question CDI pin 6 ( red wire ) on a Continuity test Meter is beeping when I go from pin 6 to ground indicating this is being grounded. The key is in the off position but I don’t think this should ever be grounded? I’m assuming this is telling me I have a brake in the wire. Pin 6 on CDI is going directly to the red wire on the stator ? Could I just run a new wire from pin 6 to stator ? Dais anyone make a good harness that I can replace this crappy one with So I don’t have any issues down the road ?

Updated Installed new CDI and Coil still no spark
My reading are Stator red wire 47v AC. 9.4 ohm
Blue wire 140 ohm 100.0V AC CDI. Red wire 47v AC
