Personally I'd get the whole kit with the assumption that the pieces are engineered to work best together. Then tune the slider weights based on your weight to achieve nice tradeoff between acceleration vs top speed.

I'd go over to happypancakes met build thread and read the red text on page 2.

To quote ConElite from TR "CDI should be the last mod you do. You wont notice anything. GET a Variator and tune it. Then intake and exhaust, THEN when your bounching the limiter day and night, ADD a CDI." For a quick answer for some speed. Cut the black seal off the Polini with a razor blade. DO NOT use the polini Drive Boss as it is too long, use your stock one. 4.5g Dr Pulley Slider weights are a good start. Stock belt is fine for now. Put 40psi in your tires (better yet buy some michelin boppers. Most important, GET a tach. www.shop.theruckshop.com/TrailTech-TTO-Tach-hour-Digital-Guage-Black-Surface-Mount-742-A00.htm?categoryId=-1Blue spring not needed now. Polini belt is too long. For more top end you'll need to shave down your drive face a bit.....but after you run out of rpms. Please post results.

Trail Tech tach arrived but doesn't work right, jumps up and down about 1,500rpm. I wrapped the wire about 10 different times trying to get it to work right. I guess other people have had problems with them too. Have to trade it in or should upgrade to better model. Put Polini variator on,acceleration is better from 10-25 mph and went from 32 to 36 mph. with 6.5gr it came with. Takes a while to go from 33-36mph but at least it's better. Also doesn't hit the stock rev limiter. When I get Dr.Pulleys sliders we'll see what the diff is. Ordered Uni intake kit and Dr D's pipe.

Never had a problem w one. Did you set it for 1 cyl operation. 6.5 gr is way to heavy.

It seems to have to break in a little. The more I ride it,the acceleration gets better over the last 20mi. My brother has a 2012 Ruck that is stock with 1,800mi. We compared them on my road and mine is 3mph faster uphill and 5mph faster down. I bought the tach on the link you gave me. Didn't see in the instructions where you set it for 1cyl. operation. When I get the other weights,I'll change and post what the diff is.Thanxs

Figured out that you have to run a Resistor plug. I swapped mine for a resistor and it was steady as a rock.

Put a resistor plug in and didn't change, but thanxs for the idea. I called Trail Tech/Justin and says I got a bad one and is sending me a new one. Was told by Tech it doesn't have a 1 cyl operation for that model. They have great customer support.
