Hello. Can anybody tell me if you can use keihin pwk main jets, on a keihin cvk carburetor?
They are both 4mm.

Should work if thread diameter and pitch are the same...

The diameter is the same, but what is the pitch?

Should be 4mm x 0.7mm for any 4mm jet.. the tillotson carb on my 71 skidoo has 4mm jets and they're .7mm pitch.
However it may be the exception not the rule.
Best bet is to get a jet from each carb and measure it yourself, from peak to peak of the threads with a caliper.

I believe the PWK main jets will thread into the cvk but the PWK uses hex jets which are longer thenthe round jets the cvk uses. In a pinch you can make them work but if ordering jets just get the correct ones.

My bad... My carburetor is a cvk. I misunderstood my local dealer, I thought he said they would fit a pwk carb, but what he actually said was that they would fit a puch P+k carb... They are still 4mm looks almost the same as the keihin jets. I wonder if they would work? He is a link to the ones I'm talking about: www.thansen.dk/product.asp?n=1709621276&pn=1709622525

I have compared them side by side. The have the same total length. Same thread count.

The "real" difference between the two, is I think, that the funnel inside the jet sits a little lower. On the side with the threads. Will this have any impact ? Otherwise they share the exact the same measurements.

I don't think it would be a great idea to mix and match for tuning, because they may perform differently. Aside from seeing the difference in the orifice, companies may rate their jets in a different manner. So, if this is say a 70 then I wouldn't assume that a 70 in the other style is the same. Even buying jets intended for the same application, sometimes they don't match that way and it can cause problems when tuning. Best bet IMO is to get a full set of jets in the closest style you can find from the same manufacturer.
