Scoot has been running super good until today..
Battery is strong stays on tender overnight even though I ride it daily.
Go to start it this morning and no power from the switch to anything, no starter, gas gauge doesn't move, no instrument light.
Used the kick start and it started right up. Once its running everything works other than the left turn signals stopped flashing.
Can the switch just go bad that fast without any warning or is there something else I need to check?
Thanks

Not sure but if you're asking about the on off switch... if that wasn't working I don't believe you'd be able to kick start it. I could be wrong. You could splice the wires together that lead to the switch and see if everything turns on. www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8pRQKpHVnYHope this helps.

Did you check battery voltage just to be sure? Check the fuse. Check for batt power at the ign switch. Check for batt power out of the ign switch. The ign switch can fail and still allow the scoot to run. There are actually 2 functions in different circuits, maybe more on some, and only 1 circuit (batt switching) could fail but the other(s) could work fine. Switches can absolutely fail without warning.

Thanks guys !! Found the problem!! Left rear turn signal socket was shorted out, kept blowing the fuse. Did find a Connector under the middle of the Scoot underneath the battery box and could not find any place for it to plug. Any idea what the connector is for?

I have one of those connectors too. I was told it was an accessory plug.

LOL those ones with a compressor? I was looking into that. There are some other obnoxiously loud horns you can replace the stock ones with. Once I get the motor and clutch all done up, I'ma get one.

That pair is spare, I think used for an accessory light used in some countries. When bikes are parked at night, alongside the road, some will have a small light to help others see them. I don't know for sure, but there was a third position on the ignition switch for 'parking' light operation that just kept the rear light lit. If you follow the pair of wires, it leads up near the side of the gas tank, close enough to be connected to the rear light assembly, but there's nothing there to connect to. tom

Tom, thanks for the info.
I was worried about an open plug that may have power when its running.
