Hello Again,
I got some mirrors that mount on the end of the handle bars. With the stock mirrors I couldn't see around my shoulders.
When I removed the end cap on the throttle side I saw the plastic of the twist assembly was too far towards the end of the bar. It would end up interfering with the piece of the mirror that grips the inside of the bar.
I'm thinking about moving the entire throttle closer to the center of the bar or trimming the end of it (the plastic twist part).
Do any of you use these type of mirrors? How did you get around it?
Thanks

I do. I just trimmed the nub off. The left was no problem. The right had that closed off plastic cap. I just cut the cap. There was enough handlebar for mine to fit.
90gtvert has a good write up on installing them somewhere.

Just move the throttle assy. The stock mirrors usually just show your shoulders I found some stock position mirrors that were higher that helped a little, -very little.

I'll look again but if you can find it please link.

Thanks. That tutorial shows the left (non throttle side). The throttle side, the hard plastic throttle assembly is too close to the end of the bar and would make contact with the part of the mirror that grips the inside of the bar and cause the throttle to stick or worse. I guess Ill try to move the throttle assembly close to the middle of the bar.

Yeah. I misremembered what it was about. Sorry.
Im having a hard time figuring out your problem though.
I just cut the end of the plastic tube off and installed the mirror. I dont have any problems with my throttle. I took some pictures of what i did. I wish i could find them but i cant.

It's cool. I am going to move the whole throttle closer to the center of the bars. I might return the mirrors anyway. They offer a slight improvement but there's got to be a better solution.
