I've ordered a 17mm Dellorto for my Kymco People. I've read on several posts that riders had to replace the throttle cable on their 19mm carbs to get full throttle opening. Is it also required for a 17mm carb?

Is it also required for a 17mm carb? That depends on how many adjustments your current cable has. And how much slack will you have left with those adjustments loosened up all the way. My stock scoot only has the adjustment at the handlebar and carb. Some have more on the actual cable in the middle somewhere. I switched from a stock what... 15mm carb to a Dellorto 21mm. Without cable replacement or modification. |

Do you have it going straight into the carb or a bend before it goes in. Mine was too long so I bought this. Then my cable was too short so I cut the bendy thing down so It fit perfectly. Treatland also has a good assortment of throttle cables if you want to go that route. |
