so everyone is trying to squeeze out every bit of performance we can on our little scooters to push them every mile (or kilometer) per hour faster we can, we sometimes overlook simple stupid stuff. i pulled off the gyro wheels to paint the rims yesterday and noticed the front wheel seemed to be dragging but it wasn't the brakes, it was the bearings. i cleaned and lubed them up while i was painting the rims. well today when i took it for a ride, all be damned if i didn't pick up a mile or 3 in the top end. Let alone it had quicker pick up to top speed.
long story short to all my fellow speed demons, if you haven't done maintenance on your wheels in a while, give your bearings some love and check your tire psi regularly.
