That's nice.
ultimatemotorcycling.com/2018/06/07/2019-honda-super-cub-c125-abs-first-look-9-fast-facts/
I'm now trying to decide just how much I want one. There's certainly some temptation.
But I'm a bit tall for the bike as equipped. And even though there's an available passenger seat for me to scoot back onto, I'd also be reluctant to give up that cargo rack.
And target MSRP is just about $3600. That's a lot.
But we can guess that it'll be something living up to Honda's quality reputation.
I probably won't. But I'd like to.

It is a nice looking cross between a scoot and a shifty.

I've already had a fo real '67 C100.
I'd be more excited about some of the modern underbone bikes that are out there.

I think they're both really cool, but the price tags ruin them for me. For $3,600 and $4,000, it's a good chunk of bikes like the FZ-07 and SV650. Find one of those a few years old and you'll get it as cheap as the little Hondas. Don't get me wrong, I love small engines... I just don't like big price tags for small engines. Maybe one day when they're old I'll get to try one, but prob not. Likely won't see them around me. I've only ever seen Groms at a car show and they all have Pennsylvania tags and all seem to have the same aftermarket lights and such. Didn't even have one in the Honda dealer to get a good look at when I went to look for fork oil a little while back. Generally, no one around me cares about anything less than 600cc. Scoots are around, but only as commuters in towns anymore and I see them only rarely even then. Sucks.

Yeah, the new Cub won't do anything to promote more small displacement bikes as it's a nostalgia toy.
RS150 would be a nice addition to the is market.

If they could get it down to, say, $2400 then I wouldn't be able to resist. But at $3600, it's about 3/5 of the way to a Royal-Enfield Classic 500.
Granted the Honda would likely be a better bike in terms of quality control. But the Enfield would be close enough for me. I don't particularly want a motorcycle anymore since I don't want to balance the thing at one red light after another. But that 500 looks like it's a pretty light bike.
One other thing about the Super Cub; it'd be too small for me. I wouldn't be able to ride it comfortably.

I love the new Cub and, being a Honda I am sure it is very dependable but...man, for $3,6oo you can get a decent car. (Not a great car, or a good car...but decent) I remember seeing them all over at the NJ shore when I was a kid in the mid 1960's. I hope they sell a lot of them so there will be a bunch on the used market eventually. Maybe they will be more affordable then.

I'm with you, but in all fairness to the new Hondas... you can just ride them home all shiny and new and they'll probably start and run every time you ask them to for years and if not you take it back to a dealer under warranty for a while. Honda made EFI engine vs Chinese carbureted engine.

Still not sure why there is no modern styled underbone imported to our market.

Still not sure why there is no modern styled underbone imported to our market. Present USA underbone options are pretty much limited to a cloned 50. The Roketa underbones are now shown on the discontinued page.
