Dellorto slide carbs have 4 stroke atomizers, i havent personally heard anyone use one (yet) on a 139qmb but it's been on my list of things to try. I'm sure there are people here though who do have more experience with them that could pass on more info on slide carbs for 4 strokes. I'll be watchin this thread

If you're willing to work with the throttle cable, intake, and airbox, then there are a lot of carbs that can work on most engines. Aftermarket slide carbs will tend to have a throttle connection on their top though, so that can be a problem for clearance that you wouldn't have with the stock CV carbs. Not sure about any standard slide carbs that come stock on 139QMBs. I know some switch to flat slide carbs for racing, but the average GY6 50 does fine with CV and round slides can work well also if you want to switch. Between brands like DellOrto, Mikuni, Keihin, and OKO you should have quite a lot of choices for spigot mount carbs.

Clearance certainly is a consideration, but it was not a problem back when the Honda 50 was being sold. Both models in memory had slide carbs without a vacuum diaphragm, and were 4 stroke. The vacuum diaphragm and slide should not be a real problem as the design(in general) has been around over 50 years(I think). If the needle is centered and un-bent, it should move within the jet without contacting anything. The slide should move freely if it of decent quality. The diaphragm should last a good long while, again, if made of quality material. I never had to replace any of those parts in the SU carburetors I owned and used. If they were kept clean, they should be of little problem. tom

I think the diaphram/slide prevents bogging when the throttle is opened fast. The accelerator pump assists this. Without either on a four stroke, you may need to open the throttle a little slower.

if i were to change the CVK on 139QMB/A , i would personally just choose Pitbike's PZ19 or PZ16 carb, and make a custom adapter to fit it into 139QMB/A intake manifold, as pz-series is a "Flange fittment" carb.
pz19 pz16 uses same Atomizer (but different emulsion hole settings) as 139qmb/a CVK carb(s) , also same "Sprayer nozzle" above Atomizer is used on pz19 pz16.
pitbike/atv range 50cc-73cc-90cc gives also plenty of other carbs like mikuni vm22 replica. etc
Plenty of spares for cheap videly available, easy to maintain. and as said, use same base of parts....
i just came home from my latest bike breaker trip, and once again i scored early 2000era Flatslide 19mm CVK from/for 139qmb. and i think i now solved a replacement mystery for their Diaphrams.....
by the way, that HUONIAO photo, carb in it, ACTUALLY looks exactly like my idea, a pz19 with separate "Flange to tube" fittment adapter.
there actually looks to be a black color adapter plate in there ! and carb as said looks exactly like pz19.....
