@grumpyunk the bulbs are actually both still working.(got a couple extra anyway) the scoot was trolling me apparently. that and a field mouse chewed a turn signal, which i repaired, before hunting one of those little crapstains hiding in the garage down and dousing him with powdered rat poison. and not that "deterrent" crap either, also found a nest which i doused with hornet killer (acts as a decent nerve agent on them) since i couldnt quite reach it. should keep the mice out for a bit. anyway, all works again. no more issues.

Mouse damage has to be dealt with. Consider live traps. Give the mice a chance. What are some creative places where they could be released?

jackrides"mouse damage has to be dealt with" agreed "consider live traps" no "give the mice a chance" second verse same as the first "what are some creative places where they can be released?" into a grave. this may offend some but i am not exactly a bleeding heart when it comes to destructive pests. especially ones that will over populate and overrun when not kept in check. 2 years ago when chipmunks started destroying my property (they will if left unchecked) i took care of it with a .177 pellet gun. havent had a problem since. which is great cause my landlord kept threatening to charge me for the repairs since i had not been able to keep them away with live traps and that deterrent bait. they just ate it anyway.

I'm not a bleeding heart, but I do try to avoid killing if there are reasonable alternatives. Creative release can mean a gift to someone you don't like. I'm also a NRA member, but I do not agree with them on everything either.

There's an old saying in the west. It goes "I never met a horse thief that didn't need to be hung". Actually it's one of many old sayings. But destructive vermin are in that same class.
