Start with tuning your carb. That 76 is probably way too lean.

I would say with a foam filter atleast try 86 with the stock airlifter 84 could be a good guess. But don't run it too long! main thing where these big bore kit's fail from are wrong air fuel mixture's so it will run really hot or too lean (results in a fouled head) And when you look at your spark plug look at the ceramic (if you replace it cut the spark plug in half to see the most accurate reading At the base of the ceramic) And also check the length of the belt. i once had a belt that was a bit too long which resulted in allot of rpm but not allot of speed.. swapped the belt and it was an crotch rocket

The above post pretty much covers it. LOTS of miles on my 50mm BBK now. Doing fine. Bigger MJ would make sense. Tuning everything in after modifications can be a pita. Takes patience. Sometimes you'll take the carb apart so may times you'll wear out the screws. Always better to run a bit rich than a bit lean. 50mm BBK with BVH and A9 cam. Top speed ever, tucked, calm no headwind, pushing her hard, chewing gum, humming AC/DC.......47 at like 9,300rpm iirc I was expecting at LEAST 75 - 80 and 100 downhill due to humming highway to hell You should be able to get above 40 top speed. 42-45ish give or take.

It kind of depends what scoot its installed on. My kymco drive's way better than my grand retro with a 72cc bbk (30kmh/18mph difrence in topspeed) So that is chinese VS taiwanese. Most difrence is in the gears i think. And kind of in the belts. There are a load of belts which are gy6 12inch but still are too long so it wont go up far enough on the variator and be slow asf.
