Has anyone tried running E85 in their scooter? I know some of the rubber parts might need to be changed and the jets would have to be tuned again but the higher octane and running cooler aspects of it are interesting and E85 is everywhere around here. Thoughts??

I haven’t done it on a scooter but I have done it for circle track race motors that require pump gas. But yes every fuel related rubber part will have issues and you will need to rich n it up a lot

Guess im glad i used up the e85 my tuner buddy from work let me try...only tried 1/2 gallon. Seemed to run well on it. .but 93 octane seems to be happier.

We don't have any E85 in my state but I thought the general consensus was that ethanol was bad for carbs. I guess if you don't let it sit it will be fine.

It’s not an issue if it was an issue any car with a carb would have issues with e10 The issue is that the manufacturers are cheap on most small engines that they don’t use parts that are compatible with ethonal giving it a bad name There are counties such as Argentina that have high ethonal requirement in fact even look at Europe and some super cars that run on pure ethanol
Hell the first internal combustion engines ran on ethonal before gas was wide spread
