So I got my 47mm big bore kit installed, and after some dummy mistakes (didn't realize I had the wrong valve rockers), it's starting and damn, it feels great.
However, I'm having a couple of issues. I had to put my idle screw way up to keep it running. I also have to pull the throttle to get it started. Once it's started for a little bit, it will idle fine. Other than the really screwed in idle screw, and the throttle required to start, I'm super happy with it. The huge lag I used to have off the line is gone, the WOT is great, and the almost dying when returning to idle is gone as well. Many things i planned to adjust after the BBK I don't seem to need to adjust anymore. The engine finally feels very healthy throughout the power band.
So any ideas on what might be causing me to need throttle on startup and keep the idle screw so screwed in? Is it not getting enough air? Or not getting enough fuel (i've adjusted the idle mixture to no avail). Does it need a different idle jet? Something wrong with vacuum?
Thanks

Yes, I think you need to upjet both the pilot jet and the main. Search the topics here and you can get a good idea where to start but, it will probably take several attempts to get it perfect. I think you are running lean and you do not want to do that very long.
