Hello,
I've been riding the scoot more and it is a straight up brick!
The tires need balancing for sure. But I see how to do that thanks to awesome vids.
I wondered if anyone has fit a normal 12inch rim/tire combo on their (non Ruckus) 50's that comes with 10's . Like say a 120/70-12 tire on a 2.5x12 rim (thunder 50)?
I see other posts for shocks and fork springs, ones that are compatible, but how do I know which ones are best for my weight?
Any other suspension handling mods you'd recommend?
Thanks

I too do not like the 10" tires but, I don't think you can upgrade...at least I can't as I have a medium length case (looks like a short case) and I don't even have 1/2" clearance between my tire and the case right now running the 10s. I wanted to add a 12" to my front end anyway but was told here that my disk brake would not line up anymore and I would have to fabricate some sort of new mounting for a larger disk. I thought it would be nice to have a 12" on the front and a 10" on the rear but, alas, it is not possible for me with what work I can do here in my small apt.

Oh dang, I think I have a short case. I didn't think about the space between the case and wheel. I was just thinking about height. That sucks about the front and the disk.
Maybe it will be more manageable once the tires are balanced. I found the tips and hints section, are those BB's any good for balancing? That seems a lot easier than taking each wheel off and adding weights.

I believe you can buy beads made for doing this same thing but obviously they are a lot more money and FrankenMech says the BB's work just fine for him. I know some others on here use them too. Bill

Balancing tires for going 40mph is not really that important, maybe your rims are bend or smith or some components are loose or forks bend whats the symptoms you getting?
What you weight? lol
Adjustable shocks is are easier and more expensive, but you can adjust any by changing oil to lighter one.
Regarding tire sizes here.
