Does anyone have any experience with this pipe? POLINI CHAMBER PIPE from sss It is a fabricator pipe meaning you need to fab mounts head pipe and silencer.(im sure most of you knew this) Its 49.00$ and i hhave a welder and all other fab tools at my shop and can fab just about anything,so thats no worry. Just trying to get an idea of real world performance. Thanks in advance. It would be going on my pg 50x50 squar big bore, small stroker, af16 build.
Cant figure out how to upload pics or I would have posted a few, the pipe looks like the polini corsa over the top pipe for the dio/elite

scooterswapshop.com/products/polini-chamber-pipeIt’s probably the wrong dimensions for a stroker pipe as they are usually longer/fatter, but without knowing the dimensions it’s hard to say. For the price it’s hard to beat even if you have to stretch it. Pipes are very labor intensive so I’m sure starting with that would save a day or 2.

Thats what I was thinking and I dont mind making a head pipe and weldind up a cone or two. I just dont have the attention span for a whole pipe lol butyeah for that price its hard to beat. Thanks Ryan

He says it's 'similar to the polini evo pipe'. The polini evo pipe is to be used on a polini evo cylinder. I dunno what kind of evo he's talking about but the first thing that popped into my head was the regular good ol' polini evo 70cc. He didn't say BIG evo...just evo, so i assume he means the evo 1, 2 or 3. That pipe is a 13-14.000k screamer.
If you put that pipe on your stroker build, it'll run like crap because those honda strokers never get to 13k rpm. It'll probably run hot and seize up too due to the way too small tail pipe.
Keep that pipe for your 110mph corsa build.

Well thank you glad you chimed in before I got it and welded it up for the honda. What pipe do you recomend on a tight budgetfor a squar 100cc honda set up.

Thanks for all the insight guys.

Thanks for all the insight guys. Nope...that pipe is too short and has too little volume for a 100cc engine. The motor just wouldn't come to life with that pipe. well, you say you have a shop so assume you got some fabrication skills? Then read this 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/10395/stroke-pipe-building-informationAnd maybe you can contact 190mech . He's our 2t pipe wizard.

Just looking at that pipe,I'd agree with the guys,,its for a high end 70cc setup..Cutting and adding length is a crap shoot, also just where you add the length is critical..Cute pipe though!Gotta know what kind of setup you have, max RPM's,port durations, combustion chamber type,squish.iggy,etc.to get a rough idea on a suitable pipe to cobble onto your project..

Yes yes lol I can fab a pipe and roll cones but wanted to be lazy but with building 100+cc honda scoot ill have to do a little work to make it fast. Thanks for all the input guys and that thred about tuned pipe building is a good read, so is Gordon Jennings 2t tuners hand book. So now I off to study, and I just remembered I have an old washer and dryer for scrap steel so off I go. Thanks guys for saving me some money and head aches and motivating me not to be lazy.

Ok Tomorrow ill see if I can make it to the shop and get you the requested info and thanks a whole lot for the help im kinda new to scoots but can build a set of turbo manifolds or stepped try y headers with custome merge collectors in my sleep lol but these scoots are a whole different world. So to sound like a broken record thank you thank you.

Just like we thought a 70cc pipe... behind header section is identical to my For Race 4, forward is very slightly larger diameter, 19mm ID stinger as is mine. For a stroker I’d start elsewhere.

Since you were already there, I’d ask Brandon and Carter at SSS if they have a pipe that’ll work for you. If Brandon doesn’t sell it, Carter will have a solid recommendation.

Ryan,Seeing you have one on hand,if you get some time could you make some measurements of that mystery pipe??? Thanks, John
