I removed piston today and noticed about 1 degree play in piston connecting rod at crankshaft, is that fine?

Up & down or side to side?

some side to side play is normal, there shoudnt be any detectable up and down play. allowable side to side play should be noted in the service manual for your particular engine

this is what i am talking about i removed piston then moved the tip of connecting rod where piston connects left and right and got about 1 degree movement, other than that i have not checked.
