That's a nice Kit. And for a decent price. As long as you don't mind machining the cases to fit the 90cc crank. Plus have enough meat on your current cases to begin such a project. Going from 50cc to 90cc will yield you a glob of torque not to mention higher speeds. Great for daily driving. You'll want to accompany that kit with a decent 100cc exhaust, variator, and 21mm carb to get the full 100cc experience.

I really like the 90cc+ stuff, but it's probably not worth it for most to build. Good pipes are hard to find, though 190mech may have something around for a higher rev 90+. They kinda crap out past 10,000-10,500RPM, likely due to small transfer ports. 190 has shown us pics of the 90cc Minarelli cylinders next to MX cylinder of similar displacement and it's pretty pitiful. If you can find a good low rev pipe (good luck), they make lots of torque and can be nice for the street... but 70cc stuff routinely makes more power and goes faster. A sport to midrace 70 would likely get you basically where you'd be with a 90+, but without so much case work. Neither the crank or cylinder from a 90 fit stock 49cc cases. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/10392/cutting-cases-accept-cranks-matching

no not a advertisement i just wanted input from people that have done this type of modification before . i smart person who is not sure about something ask people that do . sport bikes i know and can do anything on them to increase performance weather it be porting cylinder heads to turbocharging . i have been trained by some of the best in the business like Kawasaki's Walter Rainwater . and to quote him its better to keep our mouth shut and let people assume your a dumb a** than to open your mouth and prove it

I think most Tritons had the big spline and flywheel taper(90cc type),so that crank wouldnt fit..Brent has built several Tritons,he should know for sure..I like the big 90+ motors for the street, nice torque!

Unfortunately what we have in stock for 90cc engines is all we have left. There isn't enough demand for the parts to source/produce additional product anymore and the EPA made it impossible to import the engines as well. It's a bummer, I personally like the engine but it's the way of it. Matt

There isn't enough demand for the parts to source/produce additional product anymore OK, I've changed my mind. The OP and everyone else should build 90cc engines and forget about 70s. Sadly, those will eventually die off. Hardly anyone cares about 2Ts anymore. I make a 2T video and half my contact after is telling me to work on the 4T again. Everybody wants to be slow. Hopefully it's a real long time before the 50-70s get to be hard to source parts for.

I may take one of my extra cylinders do some porting and mapping upgrade to a better carb exhaust VARIATOR just to see what i can produce might even build my exhaust finally get to use the Kawasaki 2 stroke performance training lol

Minarelli and AF16 is pretty strong, but it's a market entirely based with the end consumer. We don't see much 2T support at the dealer level anymore. The 4t army continues to grow however, and particularly in regards to the QMB139 50cc engine. dexameth is a great resource for this engine. He's tireless when it comes to testing parts on his QMB bike. Matt

Matt I may crazy but maybe more older scooter performance? its getting harder every day to find info or a good variety of parts for the Hondas and yamahas. early aeros and such variant with AB07 engines are even further neglected step children than spree owners. I bet theres a lot collecting dust for lack of performance parts. leave owners frankenstiening parts meant for other molels and most average owners are more hobbiests with minimal tech experience that like the simple bolt on path. which all 4t dio and jog all have. not everyone wants to buy a scooter just to buy a new engine and swap them just to get a platform they can modify. that leaves the rare crazy gear heads in a small group searching specs and measurements to hopefully find something to modify to modify our projects further. thers more than just ab07 theres expresses razz hobbit urban expresses ect that still have a following looking for parts too. af05e builds are getting fewer and fewer and theres millions of those still lying around. I like your sight because you give measurements so we can compare notes before ordering so we know were on the right track. thank you for your continued support of a fun hobby and a cheap commuter.
