Okay so i installed the Polini spring into the Super9 and left the rest of the CVT stock(roller weight 8.5g). Went for test ride and found that it will go to a higher rpm got to 10k headed down one of the hills by me house and and stayed at a tad under 9k on the flat but i lost 10+ kmh. This morning down the hill touched 77 before i had to slow for traffic. And was at 74+ beore i had to slow. Down hill would go to 9k flat 8-8.5k rpm. Now it will not go past 63. Now is that spring is too stiff or do i need to head to lighter rollers? I have 7.5 ready to go. I also have a Naraku Variator i can swap out if needed. Im too tired at the moment to play with it more so im off to bed mates. As always all comments and ideas are appreciated Thanks.

You could try heavier rollers with that spring to see if you get your speed back, but it will decrease RPM. You could also try the stock spring again with lighter rollers to see if that will up RPM for you without lowering speed.

After sleeping on it i had the same thought. I was planning on going to the softer spring and see what 7.5g rollers will do. Might end up buying some heavier rollers as well. Thanks

If you have a small scale, you can stuff aluminum foil in the rollers to make them heavier. You can usually add at least a gram that way. You could keep it even by measured amounts of foil, but it's good to know what weight you're working with. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/post/150964/thread

oaky managed to swap out stiffer spring for lighter one.
first run with lighter spring and 7.5g rollers down the same hill it went to 68 and 65 on flat. oh also marked the variator with a sharpie it had just over a 1/4 left til top. second run with 8.5g rollers got to 72 down the hill with 65 on flat. marked the Variator but didt disassemble to see how much travel left. I'm headed back to pure stock for now. my friend has a tuned super9 lc I'll ask him what he has in the CVT.

Okay learned from me friend that the Super9 does prefer either oem 8.5g or slightly heavier for best performance. At least i now know which direction im headed
