I'm working on a Adly 50cc which has a Minerelli (sp) engine I assume. I can't find a link to oil pump output specs anywhere. It has 4 km on it, and won't stay running. I started out thinking the carb was clogged since I let it sit for to long without running it. But after I cleaned the carb it stayed the same. I noticed the oil line at the carb didn't have any oil residue so I dug into it more. There is oil to the pump. With the plug out and throttle held open no/very little oil comes out of the oil line. Am I right in that there should be a noticeable amount of oil coming out?

I think the normal output of an oil pump is 50:1. I could be wrong and your specific model could be different. But if there's any doubt. Why not go pre-mix. A bone stock scooter might not need the pump deleted. But if there's gonna be any modifications to the cylinder or carb. I'd recommend it. You can always just add some oil to the tank if your unsure.

I would love to if it was my scoot but it's a brand new unsold one. Most people wouldn't understand why they have to premix on the scoot they just bought. Just trying to get a idea how much should come out. Maybe even it should have a steady drip would be helpful. Which it doesn't do. Scoot acts like the carb is clogged. Will start but not rev then act like it's running out of gas. I'm hoping the 4 km check ride didn't trash the rings if it didn't have oil.

csp,if it,s been sat for a while the carb will need a good clean(it,s covered in the tech section),your oil pump dilema is,nt heres what I did to ensure my pump on a long standing minarelli.Firstly put in a tank of premix 40.1 is OK then prime/bleed the oil pump, fill the small feed pipe with oil and connect it to the pump then the carb run it for while(the premix will insure your engine is lubed)then pull the oil line off at the carb and you should see a little oil come out, once your sure the pump is working fill up with regular gas next time. You may well need to change your plug after/during the process lot,s of blue smoke and a lovely aroma.
