Hi everyone, I'm a new member here. I have a very small background with anything mechanical, but determined to fix my scooter.
I own a 2014 Kymco Agility 50. 6 weeks ago, I had a new carb installed and it rode great. I had to put it up untouched for 6 weeks. When I went to start it, it wouldnt.
1) When I turned the the little screw on the carb reverse clockwise, I can get it to idle for about 2 mins before it dies.
2) I replaced the fuel filter and gas and that did not help the problem. I can confirm the engine is getting gas and the fuel/vacuum lines are moving gas into the engine.
What would be the next step?
Thanks everyone in Advance! Mainer

The plot thickens....
After some very modest tune ups, I got the scooter to start and run hard under throttle, but now wont idle!

If it won't idle, I'd check two things: idle mmixture on left side forward of the 'hub' on the non-business end of the butterfly shaft. and the pilot jet. If a too large pilot is fitted, you can screw the adjuster in all the way, and it will run, I think because the throttle plate has to be open to get enough 'base' air to mix properly. If the pilot is plugged, OTOH, it won't get enough air to run at idle, and you end up trying to idle on the very lowest part of the 'main' flow system, which is a crumby way to idle. tom
