I'm planning on buying this scooter, but it has a small oil leak from the oil resevoir and they say it most likely is from a hose or a clamp. Any clue how much these are or how to fix it?

If it has an oil reservoir, I would expect it to be a 2T, in which case this post belongs in the two strike section. I don't know of any 49cc scoots that have a separate oil reservoir. If it is accessible, and it is a clamp, they are available from Walmart to auto parts stores at a relatively low cost. You might consider the tubing/line used to connect the reservoir to wherever... If it is old and hardened, or has cracks and appears deteriorated, it might leak even with a new clamp. Replacement with 'fuel line' of the proper diameter should be a suitable substitute. I would make sure the nipple on a plastic tank is not cracked where it protrudes from the tank. I have seen tanks with hoses attached that leak 'near' the hose, but are actually a damaged tank. Be sure it is not the tank, as they may no longer be obtainable from the maker, and you would be stuck with a leaky tank or figuring out a McGuyver replacement. tom
