I'm not getting any electrical charge from a new stator and New Pulse coil that I have installed. I'm stumped I checked out the new Stater before it was installed and checked out okay same with the pulse coil. Wires look okay. Any thoughts from anybody thanks, Bruce

Try another coil. Check the gap between coil and flywheel. To me, the pulse coil is attached to the block, and generates a pulse for the CDI to be told to FIRE. There is also an internal winding that generates raw AC, from what I read, that is used to power the CDI. Internal to an AC powered CDI is capacitors and diodes to fiddle with the raw and convert it to what is needed to operate the CDI. If you have the wrong CDI, DC, it won't work with AC powered equipment. Vice-versa, an AC will not work on a DC powered assembly. Which is not producing? Timing pickup, pulse coil, or AC producing stator winding coil? From pictures, it appears AC stators(for AC CDI) have some extra windings on one of the stator 'poles', forming another separate winding. Apples & oranges here? Dunno. tom
