The picture doesn't show much, but I think you've got something else going on there as the clearance from the engine itself doesn't look all that out of whack.
Do you by any chance have a top mount 150 bolted up to a bottom mount 50 frame? Because without proper modification, this is what happens.

It's definitely due to the stance of the scoot. Something on that bike reduced the ground clearance to a point that you don't have enough for the exhaust. Matt

That may give you about a half inch higher ground clearance. I think Matt is right about the 150 in a 50 frame, and to me it looks like the upper motor mount was welded too low.
If this is the case, you have access to a welder, you have 2 options: 1. Cut the header pipe at the flange, then shorten the distance from the flange to the first bend. This will tuck the pipe closer to the motor and give you more clearance. 2. Cut the motor mounts off and re-weld them up just a an inch or two higher on the frame so the whole front of the motor will rest higher off the ground.
If the motor mount is already in it's highest position, then stick to the first choice. A lot of those cheap "aftermarket" pipes are made so quick without any QC that the mounting tabs 90% of the time don't match up with the case. I've personally seen it too much. You could even get creative and fab up a custom header pipe using the ends of the current one you have, and make something way more bad-ass!

Let’s see... after market part from eBay hits the ground. Stock part works fine. I very much doubt you are gaining any preformance with the after market pipe, so, let’s see... yeah, I think I got it, switch back to the stock pipe!
