Yep, we are over reacting. Just do what you intend to do. No sense in asking the opinion of others, just do it your way. In fact just put a new plug in it and take it on a nice long drive. Just make sure you take your cell phone LMAO good one.
Okay that vacuum leak was probably cone filter sucking up fumes from starting fluid, i still need to change intake gasket since its worn a bit.
Another think i swapped back old ignition since unplugging the wire and plugging it back had the same side effect so i suspect my old spark plug might have been still alive, i will test it when i check later on after i run with #100 main jet.
Other than that is all good for now.

I appreciate everyone's help and advice!
So i jetted to #100 main and took it for grocery run heated to 80 degree and no detonations, well there's some little vibrations however nothing out of the ordinary, pretty sure detonations are always strong.
Also i am not a fan of digging deep every time something happens, i think its best to troubleshoot most obvious and simplest things first rather than starting taking engine apart right away. If problem persists i look further into it.
Will take plug out in couple days to check the ratio.

Looks almost where you need to be. Don't jet higher (yet). Work on the back pressure on your filter. Can you snap a photo of it so we can see what you got going on. Will advise further afterwards.

Oops, had to look on previous page. If that is the filter you are using, you'll absolutely wanna black tape it off a bit, you're pulling too much air. I'd start by taping it about halfway, then do some more runs.

Yep, you are pulling in too much air. All these generic filters like that come un-tuned. You need to create some of that back pressure I explained pages ago. Otherwise, all you are doing, is trying to compensate for a lack of vacuum power by using a bigger jet. Not optimal at all. Little bit of electrical tape around the first half of the cone should fix you right up... or at least get you in the right direction.

Yes, 50% as a starting point. Will require several tests. You are looking for the best takeoff, but this will affect top end if you tape off too much.
I'd start by taping half, ride it for a bit, test acceleration and top speed, come home, tape some more.. repeat.. Perhaps even tape less, but highly doubtful. You'll have to experiment. Once you are happy with where it is, then adjust jetting via plug chop.

honestly I think you should consider getting a 2stroke.. all of this performance work.. a 2stroke scoot witch is only derestricted and has a better expansion exhaust will be way faster .50mph should be possible And if your spark plug looks that lean indeed restrict airflow in or install a bigger jet. better to have it a bit too rich than a bit too lean. but my bets are that it only will help a little bit and it probably won't be so fuel effienct as before. But yeah you have to throw money at something. but if you can't spend it just don't start doing it. just accept that your scoot will never drive like an 1000cc super bike. and the more you squeeze out of it. More wear also come's with that. And you can't have that on a cheap bbk kit which the piston rings are known to not be too reliable But this is how I think about it and maybe some more people. but do with it whatever you want. i kind of find it useless to install a bigger carb to restrict it afterwards. just keep the 18mm then. Wanna go faster? just get a different scoot. ive already spent 800Eur to make my scoot just as fast as an unrestricted 2stroke.(a calm one) and I still want to get more out of it but I know I can't because it will ruin the engine.

I don't really wanna go back and hunt for the explanation of this, but what I don't understand is you are adding a restriction to get better results. I'm confused. I run almost the same setup (carb/intake wise) as this guy here and I have amazing results with a 112 main, 35 idle and UNI filter. For a while I ran with no filter and all was fine. I've ran this setup with a 50mm bore, a 52mm bore AND my now stroked 52mm bore. With a 20mm carb jetted right it will drive, just has no "umph" at all, no torque. These setups have all had open headers or a free-flow exhaust with zero baffles. Then I tried my stroker setup with a stock muffler and it worked just fine! A little slow on throttle response from idle but still ran perfectly fine. Just awesomely quiet. This is all about the perfect air/fuel mixture (13.2/1 ish?) and the more we can cram in the cylinder of that perfect mix the more power we will have. This is all the work of the carb, and yes, you can over carb but I would say 24mm works just fine on a setup of 50mm or more (at least at sea level).

what I don't understand is you are adding a restriction to get better results. I'm confused. What the added backpressure brings to the party is more vacuum. Since the wider mouth opening in the venturi is letting in too much air with that free air filter, restricting the filter will create a tighter suction, thus help pull in more fuel. And of course, more fuel=more ponies. The reason I said not to upjet (yet), was because you can throw too much fuel at it with not enough restriction and get less out of it. On the top end side you might be fine, but you'll be burning fuel faster to compensate. He absolutely can upjet and be OK, never said that the bigger carb won't work, it absolutely will. It's just not the optimal size for that engine.

Still, what you are doing is restricting the airflow, key word "restricting". This, as I see it, is to correct the air/fuel mixture going into the motor because it's "leaning out". The right way to correct this is to up-jet, adding more fuel to the air creating the correct mixture just more of it and then yes, you are right, more ponies!
I will argue this up and down (in a civil manner, of course) as I've tested it on multiple setups not only my own.
