I still haven't found the problems. When at full speed and let off gas, and then give it full throttle, there is nothing for a few seconds. Just riding it seems not to be getting full power. I have cleaned the carb. At one time I did see gas coming out the over flow vent on carb. But after cleaning I've never seen it again.

Carb tuning. Maybe smaller main jet? If not getting better, then go other way.

Do you have the stock air box/air cleaner on your scoot? Or a pod filter? These China scoots are like women, what works for one won't work for others! You can tune a scoot! But you can't tune a woman!š lol.also welcome to the fourm! Lot of knowledge here for the asking.

Oh the reason I ask about airbox/filter is I've got one scooter that just won't run rite with anything other than the stock box! So I quit fighting it ! It likes what it likes.

Before you change jets, run the bike at WOT for as long as possible, the keep the throttle open and shut off the bike. Donāt let it idle. Take a close up pice so we can see the inside of the plug, and post it. That will give us a much better idea of your mixture
So is this a new bike? Old bike? Have you changed anything on it? Stock electronics?

I would check the float level or check for a sticky needle valve. I would also check that the accelerator pump is starting to get pushed when the throttle is first moved off idle. Coasting down hill, or closed throttle riding, should increase the vacuum in the intake, and insure that the vacuum operated fuel valve is open, allowing fuel to flow into the float bowl. tom

I have done just about everything to the gas station of it as possible. When I changed the stator it didn't have a ground coming from it as the old one. And they said it was discontinued and didn't ever need it in the first place. When I hooked it up the head light was dim and only get dimmer as I gave it gas. Got a new regulator and now it's not dimming on the gas but just stays dim. Just put on new CDI and coil wire. It doing better but still sputtering.

Another thing is it sounds like I hear a vac. leak around the head and since I did away with the smog control it sounds like I can hear the lifters rattling louder. But I did a new gap of 3 and 4 for exhaust but still sounds a little loud.

I have went though the carb. A few times. I finally found a vac. leak under where carb. Go into the intake and repaired it and I put tape over half the vent holes in air box, and soon as I hit the starter I found it was dying for air... So now I think that I found that the automatic choke not working and that I may be running off the choke. Have u had this problem before? I sure would NOT go to a smaller main. That plug looks very lean to me. I would suggest going about 10 points richer (like from a ā70ā to an 80 or from a 78 to an 88. Then Iād raise the needle. If your needle has groves for the clip, put it in the bottom slot. If it doesnāt, get some small washers to put under the clip
Did you get a stock ignition replacement, or did you get a āraceingā ignition as a replacement? The 4 different ā preformanceā ignition I have tested elimated the retarding of the timing at low RPM. The only thing they do is make the bike harder to start.
Itās real simple to check the auto choke, un plug it. Once your bike is warm, you should have no effect from the auto choke.

No it's the original engine. Did I say that when I found a vac..leak and fixed it I also taped up half of the air holes in the air box and tried to start it. And it didn't want to start.. untaped the air holes and it starts fine. And top that off the air mixture screw is all the way in. And that's where it wants to idle.
