Alright folks I have had quite the day trying to fix my 2013 TaoTao
So some background information... when i had purchased this taotao 50cc it would not start. After adjusting the valves all was well and started and ran well. Now after no tinkering or messing around i noticed that the idle was very inconsistent id start it and itd idle just enough to keep it going. Id then turn it up and after applying any throttle itd be screaming on "idle". I noticed it would range up in idle then down in idle many times within a 30 second period.
Therefore, i decided to change the carb. Now disaster struck. I get it going and idle well but when i take it on the street it wont surpass 20 mph. So I put another carb on this one i could not get tuned it either bogged down or would barely have enough go to move myself on it. So I put back on the old carb that would take me about 20mph and now the same issue happens. It is bogging out so much that it barely will even start. I have played air/fuel screw, float pin, checked vacuum hoses the whole deal. What on earth could be going on?

Did you check what size jets new carb had in it? Also make sure carb boot (intake) & spacer plate/isolator arent cracked ,etc. And make sure your getting proper fuel flow to carb. Just tossin ideas out there.

I did not come to think of it. One was a "performance carb" with upgraded jets (the one that got me to 20mph) and one was the stock one.
