I have a 2017 Longjia Grido 50cc scooter. Also called LJ50QT-H and is a 1PE40QMB, set up with the following:
Tecnigas next R exhaust Stage6 sports cylinder 70cc Stage6 sports pro variator with 1mm shim 4grms rollers Stage6 medium torque spring 1000rpm clutch spring Gear upkit 15/42 Cdi unrestricted
I have been trying to fix this for quite a while but to no avail is my scooters poor acceleration from a complete stop going up a steep hill. I couldn't reach the power band that can get me going stronger up and it just bogs. Uphill driving is a breeze at 50km/hr if i have momentum going up. Is the gear up kit affecting this? I also noticed that my belt doesn't sit high or near the edge of the rear pulley despite the added 1mm shim on the vario bushing so i assume i always takeoff on 2nd gear?
Thank you so much for any help guys. Hoping to ease these headaches.

You will probably need heavier rollers try 6gm to test but you should get a set of tuning rollers so you can try numerous weights until your happy.

The stage6 variator came with 5gm rollers. It is just the belt that sits lower on the rear pulley. I also noticed that after i added 1mm shim on the vario bushing, taking has improved but i needed tonput lighter rollers as the throttle twist felt shorter with the 5gms rollers on.

Gear up kit? What gear up kit? Sure its affecting things if it isn't allowing the engine to get on the powerband. Go back to a stock configuration and compare.

Is your drive belt within wear limits? Current width? What are the belt dimensions as printed on the belt?

Finally fixed the bogging from a stop going up a hill after i changed the variator drive face with the naraku hi speed drive face plus 0.7mm of shim. The naraku drive face sits the belt on the rear pulley almost at the edge and gave me really good acceleration on take off. Amazing that the factory drive face was the one giving me issues.

Did you try a Contra spring ? Get a quality one not a no name they list them by rpm 1000,1500 etc or color get no more than a 1500 if i was you .They say 1500 rpm as in stall speed . I hate that i just test the spring pressure of the spring or shim that stock spring as long as it does not bind up ...
