Are the cone type air filters give factory 49cc any to " boost" performance ?

Yes, but they have their own set of problems, and you must re-jet and tune the carb to use one. There are trade-offs with many mods.

Guess I'll stick with what I have for a while . May do everything at once after I ride a while . Been raining for 2 days no sign of letting up here in Southwest VA .

You just mentioned the worst part about one filters. They don’t like rain or puddles.

It is never good to do more than one mod at a time, otherwise you have no idea which one (or more) might be causing a problem. Some mods are 'connected' so you have to do several though. -Trade-offs...

Are the cone type air filters give factory 49cc any to " boost" performance ? i have one installed now and well they do give a bit more power but its not really a big difference i kind of like to mod the old air box a bit so it allows a bit more air to pass through. rain? didn't have any problems yet altho I have the foam type air filter and I sprayed it with air filter oil and its hidden in the scoot so its working great for now. 1 thing. it makes sound.. A shit load of sound. xD its louder than my exhaust and its over 108db

I'm having difficulty registering it right now . Tx power sports says they've mailed my paperwork but I've not received it. Try again Friday .

I bought a performance carb and a pod-type air filter and they worked well together, without re-jetting, -but I did do a a a 'few' other mods to the carb...

This may sound stupid, but you can get about as much power boost as you are going to get by taking the stock air box apart and removing the “snorkel”. The long straight tube that hooks to the carb and goes inside the air box. Use just that to “test” if you get a measurable power increese. Problem is, you almost certanly will have to reject the carb because it will run noticeably leaner. I would pull the plug and let us see a closeup of the tip. You may be running too lean already.
