I have a new OKO 30mm PWK carb that makes white smoke come out of the exhaust. It was installed on two different GY6 150cc engines(both run fine with CVK carbs and no visible exhaust smoke) with the same result. When i removed it and put the CVK carb back on, the white smoke was gone. Is this normal for PWK carbs? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the black version and yes it is the real thing. Got it from TheRuckShop.com.

It’s probably a jetting issue but as mentioned they are difficult to tune compared to a genuine PWK or higher end copy like Polini. Nothing against the oko but they have a bad history of issues.

TheRuckShop said I should check the oil level. I just don't understand why it only smokes with the pwk carb. Other than the smoke, it works fine. Throttle response is amazing and no bogging issues. I have a 28mm Nibbi pwk(is this any better?) that I will try out next. Thanks for the feedback guys.

My thought is that with the PWK, you are allowing more air into the cylinder because you are controlling the slide, unlike the CVK that is vacuum activated. This more air creates more compression causing blowby causing excess crank pressure and oil to be burned...
but I think crazy things sometimes so idk.

Problem solved. The oil level was on the high side.

Problem solved. The oil level was on the high side. Good deal. I was also going to go with too much oil. Also, stick with the Genuine OKO over the Nibbi. Real OKO is legit superior, but as has been mentioned, it's real easy to find knockoff OKO unfortunately. Kevin has the real stuff, as do we and also Treatland, but if you aren't familiar with the reseller and the price seems to good to be true... Well, you know how that goes. Matt
