Hey everyone, Im having an issue with acceleration on my 150 songbird. Every time i stop at a light, i can hear the rpms drop, then when the light turns green and i attempt to accelerate, it takes about 10 seconds for it to go any faster than about 2mph. Its really aggravating! Especially when theres a line of cars behind me. I tried adjusting the idle with no luck, i cleaned the air filter, nada. Today i decided to dig deeper and clean the carburetor, that didnt fix the problem either. I made this video on what i saw when i removed the seat, theres a broken line.... the video will show everything. Please let me know what you think the issue might be, id really appreciate it! From what I can see, the broken hose is the float bowl drain. You should see a nipple on the bowl where it would attach. Prob what you pointed at that it may be, but hard to see for sure. Normally on these, the float bowl drain screw (beside the nipple on the float bowl) is left open so fuel would flow out all of the time. Then the screw on the end of that hose where it bolts to the engine would be used to shut off or seal fuel for easier draining. If it's not leaking fuel constantly now, then the drain screw on the carb must be closed and you don't have to have the extra hose. It's a convenience item basically. The short hose on the side is a vent hose and intended to be open. Neither of those should be your issue. Do you happen to have a video of what it's doing when you try to accelerate?

When did you last check the valves? Is your Carb Diaphragm seated properly or have a hole in it? Those are all possible problems. Like Brent said a video would help.
