Let's start from the beginning, my neighbor brought me her scooter with the belt broke, removed the cover and removed what was left of the belt and took the variator apart and found the roller weights were worn also found that the kick start assembly was also bad I ordered another belt and variator assembly ( for a few dollars more I got the whole assembly verses the weights ), also ordered new parts for kick start, cleaned the case out and checked the clutch assembly it seemed good, installed new parts and took it for a test ride, ran great good take off and top end speeds were great, she had been complaining about no top end speed, rode the trike to her house and got paid, three days later belt is broke again, took it back apart this time the belt was all up in the clutch assembly, so I just ordered a new clutch assembly and belt, so all new parts in the transmission, put it together took it for a test ride, there is virtually no take off power what so ever, once you get it going it runs good but don't stop and if you stop on a hill you're screwed, so I'm at a lose at this point and time, I'm open to suggestion and ideas and I've yet to locate a repair manual for these scooters.

It could be that the clutch is slipping. You could try scuffing the pads and bell with some sand paper or steel wool to allow for more grip.

Do a complete inspection of the CVT. Verify that you are using the correct belt.
Make sure the rollers in the variator are installed correctly. You might need to remove the rear clutch assembly and disassemble(remove large nut)and make sure there is no belt material that might be binding up the assembly.
Next is the tricky part. Once its all back together without the cover installed remove the starter bendix. Then put the cvt cover on and attach with a few bolts(around the kick starter area) to kick start the scooter. You will need to get the rear wheels off the ground. Start the scooter and remove the cvt cover. Run up the engine and watch the cvt operation to see if the belt is hitting anything.

Check the manuals section: There may not be an exact manual but there should be some that are close enough.

Could have been a faulty clutch, or possibly a belt that is not the correct dimension. Clutch slipping(shoes/frictions) or belt slipping will cause no-go with lots of engine rpms. It will sit and slip the clutch or the belt. The variator would just not change the gear ratio if it did not work. tom
