Hello Guys, I have posted my scooter, and together with the clutch bell and clutch that I recently removed. My scooter has run 20,500 kilometers already, and i've been using it for 3 years. recently I experienced that everytime I have a back rider, a noise and vibration can be heard from my CVT. It can only be experienced with heavy load., But when I am riding alone, I have this feeling that the clutch has already pre-engaged, shudders during take-offs. My top speed has not been affected, but my take-off became poor. I have tried replacing the clutch springs, and center spring, but still same performance. What could be the problem that I have experienced, I recently replaced the clutch, and it still under observation, my scoots performance has improved. Here are some of the technical details you might need to know. Clutch Spring : 800 RPM Contra Spring : 1000 RPM (manufacturer installed is 800 RPM) Roller Weights : 9 grams x 6 pcs (manufacturer installed is 12 grams x 6 pcs.)
This is what I have recently done. 1. Clean The whole CVT area, - No flat spots on my rollers - Variator is still good
2. Replaced Belt, the new belt has run for 700 kilometers.
What could be the problem that I have experienced. is it clutch slipping? if yes? what are the factors that contributes for it to slip.

Just buy a new clutch and replace, they aren't that expensive. This one is obviously malfunctioning. Some sellers will install the springs you want before they ship.
