I bought an alarm system for my tgb r50x, and, being blind, wired it up manually, then later found a factory connector behind the gauges (in the hood?) with everything wired up, and it works perfect on the factory connector. Even the remote start cranks the engine now. Except, it still doesn’t get spark unless the ignition is in the on position. I found a green bullet connector next to the factory alarm harness that wasn’t connected, but the remote starter doesn’t get spark whether it’s connected or not. Any tips would be helpful. It cranks, the dash lcd panel comes on , then it stops cranking after about a second, without any firing taking place. There is no spark. After about a minute, the dash lights go off (the alarm has this feature where it locks automatically after some time, which turns off the power) Anyone who can help me figure it out let me know how, thanks

Is it a factory alarm, or an aftermarket one? Got a link to it?

Is it a factory alarm, or an aftermarket one? Got a link to it? It’s an aftermarket alarm, connected to the factory alarm harness (just the standard one), and I stand corrected, it does not auto lock, my cold hands and the weather caused me to accidentally lock it . I’ve managed to fix the remote start. The bullet connector on the black and yellow wire coming from the ignition switch needs to be disconnected, and connected to the two white wires in the back of the alarm harness (diagram for the alarm labels then as the flameout wires). One white wire is a male bullet, the other one is a female bullet. So they only connect one way. I suppose tgb did this so the resistance needed to give spark wasn’t always there for thieves to hack into. Now it starts , but since my float bowl seals are bad, the vacuum leak causes the need to start it normally before it starts with the remote... that whole paragraph was a tongue twister Here’s a link to the alarm: www.amazon.com/dp/B015OHXMD0?ref=yo_pop_ma_swfAnd to the r50x wiring diagram: web.archive.org/web/20071018121844if_/http://www.cobrasales.com/docs/507ED.pdf%20R50X%20wiring.pdf
