So it seems every scooter or motorcycle has their, well, issues. Be it little or large, vent your biggest pet peeves you have experienced with your scooter or scooters in this thread. Might make ya feel a little better, might jynx ya even worse...

I'll start. My Stella continuously snaps clutch cables. Mostly at the lever, but also down at the anchor point. It's a standard cable, so what gives? The cable, for some reason...

Longjia sharpy 2t 50,lagre frame scoot for such a small engine, the problem was that it seized up multiple times even after engine rebuild and using a pre mixed fuel... complete waste of time and money, there were other issues as well but the engine is main reason I gave up on it

My axis is a bit wobbly though corners at 60mph. And it wants to wheelie all the time when taking off at a traffic light...so annoying.

My Kymco ZX likes to run around naked all the time. I dont really mind, but everyone else seems to stare.

So many of them...
My naked two-stroke scoot, "T2"' :
-There seems to be no CVT that's really intended for the Minarelli/clone for touring use with significantly greater output than stock combined with a heavy rider and hard operation. The over range works, but I still go through more belts than I'd like.
-I can't get cars to try to race me at red lights or find another scooter that puts up much of a fight. My scooter isn't even all that quick/fast so I'll lose to cars if they would just try and anyone on a 70cc sport 2T that's not 300lb like me should be able to keep up.
My TMAX
-It's a pain to work on because of all of the body panels and it's going to be a nightmare when it's time to adjust valves.
-The auto clutch is very conservative. Takes too long to go 0-30MPH. Does OK past there, but my little two-stroke should smoke the 500cc to 30MPH.
-I swear it's the least aero-friendly thing I've ever owned. Wind seems to affect me so much more on it than even my naked scooter and I mean even at 50MPH, not just the speeds the small scoot can't do.
My TaoTao
-It's a four-stroke.
-Entirely too much stuff breaks or leaks.

I'll add. Both my KYMCO 50's the Speedometer reads 10% faster then actual speed and Fuel gages read empty when there is still over 1.5L left in tank. Unlike my wife's Vino which reads true on both fronts.

My zummers starter bendix Doesn’t like to engage at times if it sits for over a week FYI that's signs of a weakening battery. Was just working on a scoot last night. Turning over fine, but wouldn't start up. After a bunch of attempts to start (was easily turning the motor over), it just quit. Hit the starter button and it would go *click... shing!* like the bendix was grabbing and instantly letting go. Changed batteries and it fired right up (after we got the carb situated). Leads me to another one: randomly draining batteries on scoots with no alarm system installed.

My steering column has some slack in it. Like maybe a half inch of travel when I turn the handlebars. It's especially noticable when taking turns. I can't figure out where it's coming from. I tried retightening the nuts and bolts, drove a machine screw in where the handlebars connect to the stem. I plan on taking it apart for the thrid time later on and look at it again. It's annoying.

The design of the variator just sucks. The voltage regulator has an internal circuit that can drain the battery if the regulator is not disconnected by the ignition key switch. A fence shocker can discourage noses from opening a door...

Old thread, but let's bring it back.
Bright Star, the 98 Helix, blows the main fuse every damn time the battery is connected or disconnected. No cause that I can find. Oh, pull the fuse then hook/unhook? Sure. Put back when the battery is in and...POP! Change it and all is good. I bought a pack of 15 10amp baldes. Beats me...
Betsy, the Cyprus 260....oh boy ... Charging system is fine. But every now and then, it will kill the battery randomly. Of course its an oil bath stator, so a PITA to swap, and it does work so....
Sketch....well its just a sketchy bitch. Crack head special, all the way.
Jr. The OG Beamer... He tries to throw me off every time I climb on. Need spurs and cinch to hold on.
