Does anyone here have any experience with this 150cc lc engine? It's a 1P58MJ engine stamp 2004 scooter. I don't have any experience with liquid cooled scoots and looking for any advice? Thanks.

Specifically what advice are you looking for? Is it having a problem or how to hop it up or how to deal with LC in general or...?

Basically I'm looking for info about if this engine is compatible with aftermarket upgrades that go on regular 150cc gy6 motors? Except of course the liquid cooled part. And would it be worth it to put a bbk on it?

I know a bit about them i sold them back in 07 . Is it the Jewel you did not say the model ? Take some advice If it aint broke don't fix it ! lol I am Totally serious about that ,that was a great running scooter fuel injected water cooled 16" wheel nice scoot but Cf Moto had a few issues Charging and the ECU they went bad at about 3th to 5th miles .
Your issue is Cf motor is not importing any scooter or parts in the Us they don't even have a scooter on the Us website .They have gone all UTV Cf Moto is a good company that motor is solid , I think they are good company they just did not have the proper management and distribution team when they hit the US like Kymco did . In Canada CF Moto is a known brand and wins races in the UTV world .. Yes they do make parts for it , think about it first ! lol Upgrade the Variator and clutch you can pick up a lot of low to mid easy ....

Thanks for the reply small cc. Mine is a 2004 I think it's a jewel by the body style. The left side graphics are worn off and the right side just says style 150 on it. I think it's a carb'd version but I haven't dug into it yet. I luchednout, didn't realize it is liquid cooled. Hope to get her running good very soon!

Ok, so I've got everything looked at except the liquid cooling system. It starts up and runs but I only ran it for a few minutes because I'm not sure about the coolant. I'm not sure if the coolant is supposed to come to the top of the main radiator cap and also fill the overflow reservoir? I'm thinking I should drain whatever is in there now and replace it with fresh antifreeze? Can I get some advice about this from anyone that has experience with liquid cooled scooters? Also can't locate any sort of drain plug to drain the system. Thanks...

Also can't locate any sort of drain plug to drain the system. Thanks... I know this is old, but wanted to put this info here, should may be else be looking. There should be a raised line on the plastic tank, two actually. One under the other, just like your car. The bottom line is for a cold level, the top is for hot. They don't have drain plugs for the coolant in the radiator. Its one of the bottom water pump bolts. Usually the one in the lowest point. Back the bolt out, and crack open the radiator cap. It will drain, but you should flush it too. Fill with standard green antifreeze and water in a 1:1 ratio. Fill it up put the cap on start the bike, let it get to normal operating temps. Hold of there for a minute and shut it down. Wait for it to cool. Now fill the radiator. With the cap off start the bike and make sure the level is up there. Replace the cap and fill the plastic bottle to the first line. Some bikes (not many) have an air bleeder on the T-stat housing. Some don't. It may take a few cycles of cold to warm, to work the bubbles out. Honda recommends filling through the resivouir instead of the radiator cap. This applies to maintaining levels, not initial fill. You may run hot, if so its likely due to an air bubble. A bubble will lock the system, and keep things from flowing. If you have issues with bubbles, try to keep the front end angled up while the engine runs to temp. Then after it cools (nose up still) pull the cap and fill.
