How do I go about flushing and refilling the coolant system in my lc 1p58mj engine? Do I also need to check the thermostat or anything else? It hasn't been ran in a few years, Thanks.

Iv never done this on a stock scooter, but you will need to find the lowest point were the coolant is and drain it there. As for the thermostat, if it aint broke don fix it unless the service manual says to do so.

Ok, thanks gsx600, I plan on putting my trail tech temp gauge on because it doesn't have any temp gauge stock. What is the max temp I look out for on this 150cc lc engine?

Usually the drain is a bolt on the water pump, usually different by color or a crush washer under it. If all else fails pull the lowest hose.

Forgot to ask if I need to use special type of antifreeze or can I just use ordinary antifreeze made for cars and trucks?
