I am very new to this kind of motor and I am fixing a no start Zuma. I took the carb off and noticed fuel does not come down the hose. So after cleaning the carb I reinstall and turn her over with electric start. Still nothing comes down the hose from the gas tank. Either there is a plug somewhere or something is broken? Just looking to see if anyone can start me off in a direction. Looking for a service manual for this scoot.
Thanks for any help or direction.

There is a lot of information in the directory and scoot FAQ's you could spend days just reading that. Brent has also assembled a lot of manuals here for a lot of different scooters. On a cold snowy day it will educate you about these quirky little 2 wheelers.

Zuma FB groups are not really helpful (as well as the troll infested Honda ruckus groups) Thank you and I will check it ALL out

Of all of the forums I am on this is the friendliest and most helpful. People also don't reply to threads to show that they are smarter than you but reply to help.

Okay so I put Vaccum and fuel comes out.
I bypassed the tank to the carb and she starts up for as long as there is gas in the bulb but then dies.
I use the electric start and she doesn’t start but i use the kick starter and she starts (odd)
So I opened up other Zuma up (started the 70cc BBK) and it looks different. Fuel filleted and hoses are not stock. Gonna take the carb apart when I get a chance and see if there is a blockage ? I will probably remove the entire tank and inspect all that also. The plates have not been registered since 09 so who knows how long she sat.
Adventure in mystery scooter!

That's a bit odd. So it's like the vacuum feed on the carb is not working.

If you end up replacing the petcock you can get a manual valve so you don’t have any fuel issues, 2GU-24500-02-00 is a manual valve that will work on the Zuma. The fuel line fitting may be tight if your line is hard as it’s 1/4”. Warm up the line (with no fuel in it)or replace with fresh stuff.
Electric starter might not be spinning fast enough to start the motor. If it seems like it’s spinning over ok check your battery connections and the connection at the CDI and ignition switch. Yamaha does some magic switchery at the switch for start and run with the CDI. It grounds to run and opens to stop.
Keep that in mind if you ever swap to an aftermarket CDI, you can use a relay to maintain factory function. Otherwise off is run and run is on. Also the e-start will not work in the off position.

You could also try "her"with the gas cap loose or replaced.

I ordered 2GU-24500-02-00 for my project Zuma and if its good ill get on for my Zuma. Thanks for the tip and part number because the petcock works but only under HEAVY vacuum, carb is vacuum is not enough.
