Runleader, backlit and runs from the battery (very quick refresh rate). You'll need a sensor too. Or you can go with a TrailTech TTO but they're not backlit and run from an internal battery that can't be replaced.

The go to is the trail tech TTO. The bad: non replaceable battery, but they are ment to last for years, not backlit and you will need the extension lead for it. So you’ll be in about $50 +/- There are cheaper alternatives on eBay and Amazon that are backlit but they devour batteries if you use the back light often. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/14941/trail-tech-alternatives-updated-review

I have one of these on the wife's Honda Elite. Personally if I had to do this again, I'd go with 2 seperate gauges. You have to switch between tach and temp by pushing the button. This means taking your eyes of the road, one hand off the grip and remembering the right button to push to toggle between the two. Now if they made a compact gauge that showed both temp and rpm's in one package. Like this but cheaper.
