Several years ago, I went to a local shop and seen a TKR chamber pipe. Never seen it anywhere before, so I bought it. Pretty much the only pipe that local shops stock for minarelli is the black YMS v8 with the plastic heat shield.
I was wondering if the TKR pipe is any good, or rather what is it's RPM power range. It's still new but it sat around for several years so it has some light corrosion.

if you post a pic or measurements on it, you'd probably get answers faster. are you wanting to sun it on a stocker 50 or the kitted 90 you have in your sig? i know of a few on here that have programs for chamber pipes. detailed measurements would probably get you more exact info. im a honda guy but i have vertical minarelli pipes on 2 of my scoots. just not familiar with yours though.

I never ran it, 190Mech reported its measurements were likely suited to a 50 or 70 screamer. It still hangs on the wall if someone is interested in it. I also recently picked up a stockish looking TK pipe for the vertical Kymco. I have been running it on the 70cc Kymco and I am pretty happy with its performance, It is not a chamber pipe though.

I think mine is a little different. I'll go pull it out and post some pics this weekend. I'm going to read that exhaust thread to gain further understanding of how to measure the different parts/sections so that I can list the measurements.

Harley, I was thinking about running it on my Motoforce mid race 70. I liked that bore when I was running it with Leo Vince ZX-R pipes. I've gone through 3 of them. The roads here are so shitty, bumps and pot holes. Each pipe, I hit a pot hole in town and it ripped the pipe from the bore exhaust flange. All 3 zx-r pipes, bent headders. Oahu roads suck.

this may be a little late but have you tried beefing up the back mount on your pipes? sounds like the rear mount is flexing and the solid point (header flange) isn't. that would be my guess... also I have a Harley riding buddy with a ridged frame chopper that would crack his front pipe close to the header flange. when he bought his 3rd set, we welded a .5-.75" wide steel strip down the back side of the front pipe about 18" long, where nobody could really see. that fixed his problem. make sure to start at the flange. gotta tie in and go from there. just a thought? ive always wanted to go to the big island. I inherited a commercial lot on the south side. only family that's ever seen it, was my grandpa. he was stationed out of pearl harbor, fell in love with the place. said it was beautiful. look at the link 190 gave you. hes very savvy with exhaust knowledge. great guy to have around here and chat with. plus he built a pretty rare and bad ass plane... lol as for my knowledge on pipes, which isn't much and 190 has givin me a lot, the vertical minarelli pipe that im running on my Hondas is one of those 80$ fleabay pipes. I liked it on both the ab07 and af05, stock 50cc and kitted 70cc. power band on that pipe is wide and is strong from the power band beginning to the end. I just built another af05 with a polini kit and a walbro carb think im gonna try that pipe on there next. for the price you cant go wrong and the rear mount is solid and metal guage is pretty thick for a pipe. ive seen some pipes almost as thin as paper... those don't last a few weeks. so thickness or gauge of steel is something you might want to look at when choosing your next pipe. good luck and happy hunting! lol

I inherited a commercial lot on the south side. only family that's ever seen it, was my grandpa. he was stationed out of pearl harbor, fell in love with the place. said it was beautiful. Harley, for all 3 Leo Vince pipes, the mounts were solid, they were of no issue. It's the roads here. They lay to top coat of asphalt about 3-4 inches thick. So the pot holes end up being 3-4 inches deep when they develop. Hitting them at 25mph on 10" wheels causes the bike to dip, the pivot point of the engine mount articulates, the header ends up getting snagged by the pothole lip. I did it with a v8 pipe too. I hit a pothole and it complexly ripped the pipe off the bike, it even ripped the exhaust mount casting off the block. In regards to the Big Island, that is a beautiful place. Time is slow there. South side is beautiful too. I did some crew training on the voyaging canoe Makali'i. The captain took us out during daylight and I got to sit upfront on the bow and watch dolphins swim in front of the canoe as we sailed. He also took us out at night so that we could see the stars, because Hawaiian navigators use the stars to figure out position and direction. Not much ambient light on the Big Island at night so you can see gazzilions of stars. It was so dark on the ocean you could see Phosphorescence (indiglow plankton that emit light when disturbed). The bow wave was lit up with thousands of indiglow twinkling, but the wake of the canoe was glimmering with phosphorescence. I hope that you can make out to the Big Island one day! I work at Pearl Harbor naval base . In regards to 190mech, that guy is solid. I like the feedback and the information that he provides. He's awesome, and I respect and value his input and knowledge. When he chimes in on my threads, I listen to his advice.

did some searching under the house for the bin with the TKR, it's buried further in and I didn't feel like digging for now. but I just found this, and I guess it's a sports pipe... tkr sport

Thanks for the offer Oldgeek. Let me think about it, and I will get back to you. But from reading the exhaust/pipe thread by 190mech and 90GTvert, the numbers for that pipe looks very enticing.
