Howdy all, This scooter was free and came in parts so need some help. The original carb was gone so I’m replacing it. There is a vacuum line that goes from the fuel tank to the carb and an oil injection line that apparently attaches to the carb (as well as the fuel line). Does the oil injection line enter the carb in pic 1 at the vertical entry to the manifold side of the carb? The fuel line prob goes to the brass fitting and then the vacuum line to the carb by the electric choke? If you know the line diameters that would be helpful too. I think the stock lines are here somewhere in any case.   |

The oil line is the thinnest from under the engine to the brass fitting,vacume line thinnest from fuel tank, gas feed thickest ,you will need to bleed and prime the oil line before you run it look in the tech section or ask if unsure,

Ok. I have the carburetor connected as suggested with the vaccine line going to the connector at the fuel pump and the fuel line going to the other side (the other side away from the fuel pump. When I crank it over there is no fuel delivery to the carb (I have a see-through fuel line). So the vacuum isn’t pulling fuel into the fuel pump and down. What is my next step in troubleshooting? Check pressure on the vacuum line?

Pull the vacuum and fuel line off the carb and suck on the vacuum line and see if fuel flows. If not the petcock is bad. Replace it with a manual valve as shown here: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/37. |

Tomorrow I’ll remove the petcock/pump and disassemble and see if I can repair it. |

  The pump has a diaphragm. So does the vacuum oscillate to create the pumping action? Anyway I wonder if the cap on the bottom wasn’t tight enough. Hmmm. |

So does the vacuum oscillate to create the pumping action? I don't think that's a pump, just a vacuum operated petcock, or "autocock" as it says. I don't think there is any pumping action. Only cock action. |

I don’t think I that will work. This is an Alpha Sports Minarelli clone. There is only 1 hole for the fuel prefilter (in the bottom of the tank). The Yamaha has either one larger hole or 2 small ones in addition to the screw holes. |

Here is the actual one off of my Zuma, looks the same to me. You can change it out for the manual type if wanted, or the vacuum type if you have trouble finding your original.   |
