Hi to all - I have a maddog scooter with a 150cc gy6 motor. I am not sure that the vacuum hoses are connected right. The motor has three places to put on a vac hose. Two nipples on either side of the intake manifold. These suck vapors directly into the engine, bypassing the carb entirely. I assume that there is no difference between the two. And one nipple on the upper part of the carb. The one on the carb looks like it is part of a diaphram system. The scooter has a vacuum operated fuel pump and it has to be connected to the intake manifold or it wont work. There is another hose system that sucks vapors from the valve cover and from the transmission. I assume that these are connected to the manifold also. But that leaves me with a nipple left over. I do not know what to connect to the nipple at the top of the carb. Any help or ideas?

Usually one goes from the intake to the carb, and one from the intake to the fuel petcock if you have the stock setup.

The one at the top of the carb probably is the float bowl vent. A hose coming down from that and open at the end helps keep debris out.

I did not think of connecting the vacuum from the intake manifold to the nipple on top of the carb - I will give it a try - thanks The nipple on the top of the carb looks like a diaphram system - do you know what it does - I dont have a clue

On mine it is responsible for the antipop shit when you release the throttle.
