A BBK is like any other cylinder or new engine and should be broken in, but exactly how is something you won't get the same answer on from everyone. Some people like hard break-ins and some treat them gently for some amount of miles. I would go out and do a few pulls at about 1/2 throttle and let it slow on it's own, then 3/4 throttle and let it slow, and then WOT the same way. After that ride it with varied throttle for a bit, meaning don't just cruise 20 miles straight holding the throttle in one spot. Then it's up to you if you want to romp on it or be easy on it. Lots of info all over the internet that support each way.

I break in my Motors like I break in my girlfriends. Gentle and Sweet at First, but then I start going hard.
Several 'heat cycles', where you start the motor and let it warm up then shut it off. Usually revving it a little to set the rings. Then after 5-10 of those, I start it up and hit wot on the stand. And hold it, let it stretch its legs for a few seconds. Then idle it a little, then shut off. After a few more heat cycles and a couple more wot pulls, I ride it. Basically, your polishing the bore, piston, and rings against each other.

Pin it to win it. LoL. I just take it easy for a bit. After a few short rips I go wide open. Not saying this is the RIGHT way, but I have done it this way a few times on dirt bikes and now my scooter....
