Hey guys this one is a new one for me. A friend of mine has an '11 Jonway 150. I just went and looked at it for him, and it has 0 compression. Well not actually 0 we got a peak of 4psi wide open throttle with kick start. Now according to him it was running fine, he shut it down to walk inside and grab a jacket, came back out and it won't start. Now that sounds like a load of steamy crap to me, but eh.....
Now he isn't rich by any means, and wants to get back out on the road. I wanted to pull the top end and see what he has done, but he wants to get the parts first... To me that's putting the cart before the horse but what are ya going to do? So without getting really deep in the purse what's the best cheap option for a new top end? Jug, piston, and head. I can swap Tue valves if they don't come with the new head, so that's not a point.
I have never bought anything for one of these, and honestly haven't been around them much, so I am coming here for help, and advice.
Yes, I conformed the timing hadn't jumped, and the valves were adjusted. What scares me is that turning the flywheel by hand yields a spot of resistance when the plug is out. Feels like he seized it,but he swears of was fine then it wasn't....
