So guys i have Bws 100(same as mexican version i guess. 52mm bore 47.9 stroke 4vp engine) my question is what wolud you prefer in a scooter? A High reving screamer or high torque longer gear ratios? And why?

depends on what the scoot is used for. stop light to stop light, bar hopping= low rpm high torque, faster takeoff. commuting distances over 7-10 miles= high rpm low torque, higher mph. that's my preferences. both are rode WOT by me, but accomplish 2 different objectives...

I ride daily on 8 mile trip in fast conditions. O already have 55mm piston and Tecnigas RS-2 pipe overrange rear pulley and sliders. Top speed is good (55MPH @8400rpm) but take offs are really pain. When i picked up my girl friend bile cant able to take of at up hills . I dont want to lose my top speed because the road i use has nearly 45mph speed limit and i dont want to ride at WOT all the time. I m planning to change the crankshaft for 50mm stroke full circle one, change the variator and take some longer belt. At the moment i use 757 19 28 belt and ı think its too short for a minarelli long case based engine. Also ım thinking abaut upgareding the clutch

you should inspect the cvt. what weight rollers are you using? too heavy will kill take off. clutch springs, stiffer springs will act like a stall converter: it lets the engine get closer to powerband before locking up/ clutch engaging. contra torque spring, a stiffer one will slow the action of variator. keeping rpm up before starting to variate. belt length and width, too short or thin wont let belt ride on outside of driven/ rear pulley too thick and it wont ride all the way down on variator pulley which could also pull it into the rear pulley. all of these will kill take off. its a happy medium that needs to be found. the opposite of all this is too light of a roller weight or too stiff of contra spring wont let the cvt completely variate and youll lose top speed.
you have a pretty big bore. you should be wheelieing from stop lights.. unless youre a bit on the fluffy side. or swapped rear tire for too tall of a tire. will give more top mph but can kill take off also. ive had a scooter that was same top speed but took off faster with 1 size smaller tire. the better final ratio was able to be pushed further by motor hp. resulting a little more rpm and same top speed
