Hello everyone I'm brand new here 👋 I have a question about my 2018 peace sports 50cc 4 stroke. I just put a new keihin clone carb in with a 75 main jet and a 32 pilot. The old stock carb had a 72 main jet and 35 pilot. The bike runs and idles great with my new carb and jets in. My concern is that when I am decelerating or slowing down my exhaust seems to be making a deep noise like the noise you get when you do a plug chop and kill the engine at full throttle. Am I running lean or rich on idle or main. Or what do y'all think the problem could be? if it is even a problem.

I would take a look at the PAIR system. You can get 'different' noises if it is disconnected and open to atmosphere. Higher vacuum on deceleration may make it go into overdrive and release a lot of air(supposed to go into the exhaust to improve emission control). Leaks may cause noise also. tom

GrumpyUnk thanks for the reply. I will take a look. My fuel line coming from the tank started leaking today so maybe my lines are going bad. I also had another question. Do I ever have to adjust my camchain? My manual says to adjust it but I don't even know what that means. Like the tensioner or the timing?

If you have a 139WMB, or the larger version, they are equipped with 'cam chain tensioners' that apply spring pressure on the guide to keep the chain tensioned properly. You do not need to do anything until the chain is worn out, and that will take a long time. In most cases, they outlast the rest of the machine. I would guest they will last 50k miles or more. tom
