Hi guys and ladies. Iam thinking to get a new derestricted exhaust for my MBK Flipper / Yamaha Why 50cc 2T scooter. After looking around the internet for a suitable replacement i had to realize that my OEM exhaust not only have the restriction on the "downpipe" but has a another pipe as well wich runs alongside the exhaust pipe then turn upward into a black unit and continues thowards the 2T oil tank and runs around it, but i cant folow its path any longer without removing the fairing the seat etc. from the scooter. Could somebody tell me what it could be? Is it needed to be able to operate the scooter or i can go ahead and order the new exhaust without that connection on it and fit it and just dont worry about that hose? Thanks a million in advance Regards Thomas

It's air induction. By flowing fresh air into the muffler it gets it super hot so it burns everything. It was/is used to help with emission laws.

Emission control. When you get a new pipe I’d remove everything to do with it, it’ll knock off a pound or 2 also. JM 2 cents.
