My Peace Dash GY6 150 worked fine this morning, but when I tried to ride it this afternoon it would not start. starter button did nothing. But when I jumped the relay with a screwdriver it fired right up and ran fine. So I replaced the relay, still won't start unless I jump it again. I tried another kill switch, still will not start. I noticed that when I pull either brake lever in the rear brake light does not get brighter like its supposed to, the rear running light does come on when I turn the key like its supposed to, and the front running light works, all 4 blinkers work, so does the horn and dash lights.
Question is, do I have a bad brake light switch on the handlebar ? or is it something else ?

Before you shotgun replace parts you may want to pick up a simple voltmeter or test light to help you.

Usually brake light switches are located in the brake handle. As you press the brake handle, a gap forms and the switch is released causing the brake lights to come on (and allowing the starter to function). I've had brake switches break (cheap, $3 to $5 US, and easy to replace), but not both switches at the same time. Check your connections, one probably came unplugged.

Make sure the switches are plugged in. See if you have power to one side of a switch with the key on. If not, check the fuse and battery voltage and beyond that you may have to trace some wires. If there is power on one side of the switch, squeeze the lever and check for power on the other side of the switch (the other wire). You should see the same power that you had on the other wire. If not, the switch is probably bad. You can also check for continuity between the 2 wires to each switch. You should get continuity when the lever is pulled. Check both brake levers/switches. Also make sure nothing appears to be damaged or loose around the switches/levers.
