anybody have any ideas on why , on my 150cc gy6 , when I changed my vacuum feed petcock for gravity feed petcock the engine refused to idle correctly- it refused to idle under + or - 3100 rpm.. ?? I tried adjusting the idle air mixture screw ; had no effect.

First guess: vacuum leak from removed vacuum line.

well , I just changed back to the vacuum petcock and it idles down real nice . I guess I'll have to break out the cigar and do a smoke leak test and make sure there are no vacuum leaks .

Absolutely. all I really had to do was remove the plastic inline " Y " and then plug the hose from carb into intake where " y ''was .
so there is no way vacuum isn't hooked up. I just need to check for good/bad connections.. Leaks .
